dual commit
Strategy
For example, there is an old strategy called ‘dual commit’. Its an old system banks use, so transactions dont get lost. It would help if your sales order got stored in more than 1 place. That way, if things go tits-up again, you’d have a list of sales orders – at least someone could retype them.
Example implementation
if you simply bcc all sales orders to a special purpose gmail account, you’d have a seperately managed ‘dual commit’ set of sales orders.
Investment
low – probably a small change and a free gmail account
