You should protect paypal more than other web passwords.

Paypal has REAL money behind it, not just some photos or email.

here are a few tips.

1. dont repeat a password used elsewhere for paypal

the FIRST things hackers do, it test any hacked passwords against paypal, and attempt to empty your account.

2. strong password

make sure its at least 8 characters, upper and lower case, a number, and a punctuation.

3. dont save the password in your browser

this is easy to find, and its not protected, its easy to steal.

4. use multi factor authentication

so you need 3 things, username, password and special hardware device

this way if some hacks your username/password, they also need to steal hardware at the same time

– use sms to send once use codes.

– use an iphone app called ‘VIP access’ – this is the most secure, but can only secure 1 paypal account
